Improve Button State Response

The key to making button state transitions smoother
is to place the buttons on a layer higher than the
default.

To do so, single click on the interaction icon
that the button(s) are attached to, and then change
the layer for the interaction icon in the properties 
dialog to 1 or higher.

Also, don't use 24-bit images for button states
if the program is to be delivered on 256-color
displays.
