Delay When Playing From CD

If your clients are experiencing playing Authorware 4
files from CD-ROM, inquire to see if they're running
an AS/400 Client application in the bacground to connect
to their AS/400 server. When the AS/400 Client
application is disabled, load delays should dramatically
decrease.

Also, if possible, package your piece without the runtime
and place a small packaged "launcher" program on the user's
hard drive that jumps to the main application on the CD.
Since the runtime is now on the hard drive as part of
the launcher program, the runtime code will be accessed
much more quickly than if it were part of the application
on the CD instead.
